The virtual spa is a online computer program that aims to simulate the experience of being in a health spa. Made by a company in the UK called Heart Media, spa goes use a media headset to get surround sound and wrap around images. Your time in the can be spent checking out all the rooms, gardens and facilities, or making some new ones if you like. You can plug your own selection of relaxing music into the game and even book in for a lovely body polish or massage if you’d like. You can enhance the feeling of having the virtual spa treatments by purchasing a vibration pad that is designed to work with the game.The game is constantly evolving and new activities such as tennis, and pool are being added all the time.
The people who made the game say that their tests showed that resting heart rate could be decreased up to 25% by simply playing the game for more than 20 mins. They hope to aim the product as people who suffer from stress or anxiety or who love spa days but don’t necessarily have the money to pay for them frequently. They hope that once the game takes off they will be able to start sending out actual skin care products to gamers so that can complete that spa experience without leaving the house
