You don’t have to spend a bunch of money to keep garlic on hand-it doesn’t cost a lot of money (natural garlic is cheaper than the supplemental tablets). A note about garlic: the 500mgs a day 3 times a day remedy should not go beyond five days. Your doctor should be called if you spend more than five days feeling very sick.
Learn to like steam. Save money and take a hot shower or bath instead of buying a bunch of sinus meds. Steam can relax your sinus passages which will aid your breathing. The hot water will help your muscles relax, which will help you get the rest you need to get better. If you don’t feel like taking a bath or shower, heat up some water on the stove in a pot and then (after moving the pot of water to a table) put your face over the water and drape a towel over your head. The towel helps contain the steam and move it toward your face as well as helping the water stay warm for longer periods of time. Steam, however you get it, relaxes your sinuses, makes it easier for you to breathe and makes blowing your nose more productive.
When you get a cold you can choose something besides spending money on pharmaceuticals. There are a lot of natural health remedies to choose from that are already in your home! You don’t have to waste so much time and energy and money at the pharmacy so why do you continue to do so? Choosing natural health cures just makes more sense.
